Management team Emerging Markets Opportunities Fund - EMOF Investment offer Global expansion Emerging markets provide decent answers for todays adventurous investors. These markets have great growth potential and to provide good returns on investment. At present, we are expanding our global investment reach and overrall investment fund. We have identified new emerging economics with sectors that yield significant returns and are also sustainable for the long haul. Developing countries, also known as the emerging markets, are fast becoming the driver of global growth. “Investing in the Next Generation.” In this year - 2014, The United States of America recently conviened an African summit where an announcement was made that, private companies would invest $12 billion Africa, while the US government will $14 billion on the continent in different sectors including banking, construction and information technology. This in itself reflects the reliasation and importance of EM to the developed countries and world big economies. Why invest in emerging markets? To cash in where the growth is today, and for the foreseeable future. Emerging economies are expected to grow two to three times faster than developed nations like the US, according to International Monetary Fund estimates. This growth narrative is important for Main Street investors who are not clued in on the big Wall Street long bull trends. The public investor is still underweight emerging markets in their portfolios. Yet, corporate profits tend to grow faster when economic growth is higher. One of the reasons why US companies have done so well in the last 12 months is because of growth in their non-US markets. Another benefit for investors is the diversification the EMs provide, because they tend to perform differently than developed markets, and have been successful at decoupling from the greater, longer term woes of the mature economies of the West. The Emerging Markets of Africa With all of the attention on collapsing stock markets and governments around the world bailing out the global financial systems, one would assume that investing in an under-achieving economy like Africa would be the furthest thing on the minds of international investors. However, that does not seem to be the case. Stock markets across Africa are booming and funds focusing on sub-Saharan Africa have exploded in the past few years. In fact, with a market capitalization of well over $100 billion, Africas stock markets are substantially larger than Central Europe and Russia were in the mid 1990s when they opened up to foreign investors. Consider this: Sub-Saharan Africa, a region that excludes the Middle East and Northern Africa, consists of 48 countries and boasts a population of over 800 million people. Thats almost triple the population of the United States 300 million. Moreover, till 1989, only five sub-Saharan African countries had stock markets; today, 16 countries, including Ghana, Malawi, Swaziland, Uganda, and Zambia, have them. And did you know that between 1992 and 2002, the capitalization of African stock markets more than doubled from $113 billion to $245 billion – an outstanding growth by any standards. Just prior to the global financial meltdown, the IMF estimated GDP growth in the region would hit 6.6 per cent in 2010. That meant that if you take India and China out of the equation, sub-Saharan Africa actually is growing faster than Asia. With the notable exception of Zimbabwe, inflation in Africa is largely under control. Mobile phone penetration is soaring and boosting economic growth rates. Banking systems, which were too unsophisticated to have exposure to the subprime market, are rapidly expanding services to serve the emerging middle class. Foreign investment and loans to the region also are exploding, and have risen almost fivefold since 2000 to over $55 billion. No doubt, Africa has a long way to go. Skeptics may say why risk any of your money in Africa when established western companies have now become such bargains. Heres why: the best investment opportunities lie where perception differs from reality. Much like Russia and Central Europe in the early 1990s, Africa fits that bill perfectly. EMOF 2014 Emerging Markets Opportunities Fund - EMOF South Sudan Land of opportunity An influx of adventurous entrepreneurs has helped fuel a huge business boom in the worlds youngest country, South Sudan, which declared independence in July under a 2005 peace deal that ended decades of civil war with the north. Theyve been drawn to one of the ultimate frontier markets by demand for practically everything -- from roads, real estate and banks, from agriculture to mining industry and telecommunications. There is plenty to do. The nation roughly the size of France has just about 100 km (60 miles) of paved roads, hospitals and schools are still scarce. Oil accounts for some 98 percent of government revenues. That means opportunities for risk-tolerant investors. They have good land, they have a lot of water, good weather, good people, a lot of resources, There is no reason they will not succeed soon. South Sudan Cross-Border Trade with neighbouring countries The current export trade pattern from Uganda, Kenya and Ethiopia to South Sudan is highly profitable. Ugandan, Kenyan and Ethiopian exports to South Sudan increased from US$ 200 million in 2005 to US$ 1.5 billion in 2008. The main formal exports being; coffee, cement, vehicles, iron and steel products, palm olein, mineral water and aerated water, soap, beer, beans, vegetable fats and oils, sweet biscuits, wheat flour, broken rice, sugar for industrial use, motorcycles, sorghum and maize. We think Lean At EMOF we not only share our big visions with our investors for the future, that will yield multi-million dollar investments, but we think lean. Prior to investment, we have conducted ample research and know where and what are the minimum amount of resources necessary for a particular project in order to reach the next level. Investment strategy Agriculture Presently, the food requirement for the 10 million people of South Sudan is estimated at 1.04 million tons of food. Which the country’s agricultural industry can not sustain. Leaving a high percentage towards reliance on food imports from the neighbouring countries of Uganda, Kenya and Ethiopia. South Sudan relies on food imports from neighboring countries. These come at a high transportation cost which, coupled with inflation, has caused food prices to rise dramatically in South Sudan. This is where EMOF has identified great investment opportunities that yield extremly high returns. We have secured deals with large maize production farms in Uganda and Kenya where we purchase product straight from the farmers and deliver to our clients, who inturn export to South Sudan. Risk Management To minimize the business risks of such an undertaking, we have secured orders from the UN World Food Program, which is the biggest purchaser of food destinied to South Sudan. In other words, there is little or no risk at all in this investment venture. How does an investor get involved At EMOF with a minimum investment of USD 100,000$, we accept investors from around the world and one can choose from the following investment packages on the basis of thier outlook. Financial Projections INVESTMENT PACKAGE and PAYOUT BASIS 1 Month - 5% ROI - 3 Months Minimum Commitment - Principle Returned End of Term 3 Months - 20% ROI - 3 Months Minimum Commitment - Principle Returned End of Term 6 Months - 50% ROI - 6 Months Minimum Commitment - Principle Returned End of Term 9 Months -80% ROI - 9 Months Minimum Commitment - Principle Returned End of Term 12 Months -120% ROI - 12 Months Minimum Commitment - Principle Returned End of Term Investment exit strategy At EMOF we give our investors an intended potential exit strategy option where an investor can exit at certain points if they want to. Potential exit strategy depends on the package an investor has choosen . For example; If an investor chooses a 3 months investment package after the 3 months minimum commitment period, the investor gets their 20% returns and principle investment or they can decide to re invest their principle investment or to compoud their returns and principle investment.
