Emigrant Fire Afternoon Update – July 27th Significant cloud cover is limiting fire activity today and wispy smoke is settling near the fire area. Drift smoke is also present throughout south central Montana, coming from multiple fires in western Montana and northern Idaho. Crews are continuing to construct indirect line in the North Fork Sixmile Creek drainage south of the fire. North of the fire, a crew is improving the line that was completed yesterday. A public meeting is scheduled for tonight at 6:00 p.m. at the Paradise Valley Fire Station. An evening update will not be produced tonight due to the public meeting. Tomorrow’s update schedule will return to normal.
