Emile Johnson: ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE.... Please broadcast the following media release regarding road closures on Blaauwberg Rd for this week-end and thereafter MEDIA RELEASE # 1 Gie/Blaauwberg Rd/ Gill Intersection partial closure 1) Gie/Blaauwberg Rd/ Gill intersection will be closed to all right turning movement’s from18h00 on Friday 14 June 2013 till 05h00(latest) on 17 June 2013 for road construction. Motorists will further not be able to turn left into Gill and Gie from Blaauwberg Rd but will at times be allowed to turn left out of Gie into Blaauwberg 2) Alternative routes will be marked via Arnold or Boy de Goede Roads. This includes the My Citi busses along Gie Rd. The attached pamphlet (ignore the dates) gives an illustration of the closures. 3) Further next week will require the continued closure of Gill rd. to all traffic for a further 2 days ass well as the closure of one lane during off peak ( 09h00 to 16h00). The actual dates will depends on the weather conditions. Alternative routes will be marked via Boy de Goede Roads and motorist are asked to follow deviations marked on Blaauwberg Rd.
