Emilie has been home for one full day now. I think theyre figuring things out quite well, as far as how to be as comfortable as possible, med. schedules, etc. Derek is doing a great job as caregiver. Matilda is staying with us, and we will make visits back and forth so they can spend time with her. It will be awhile before Emilie can really care for her by herself. Until she can lift her, shes going to have to have help. Today we took things for lunch and stayed with Emilie while Derek went to a doctors appointment and ran a few errands. It was so good for Matilda to spend some time in her own home with her parents, although its very rough on Emilie to have to take a back seat for now. Matilda is doing fine--I think its Emilie who is suffering. Shes such a good mama, and its very hard on her to have to distance herself right now. Matilda and Emilie napped while Derek was out, and Opa and I both took a much-needed nap as well!! We appreciate your ongoing prayers for healing, emotions, and energy!
