Emily Alice Handweaving is our featured artist for November! Emily learned how to weave at a very young age, having been raised by parents who were self-taught handweavers. After receiving a business degree in college, some experience in the textile industry and with a young child at home, the opportunity arose for her to develop her past time hobby of weaving into a full time passion while being a stay at home mother. She works with a vast selection of beautiful chenille, woven through black cotton to create unique and colorful scarves that are sure to be attractive as well as functional. Each piece is individually woven by Emily on a hand operated loom. You can find Emilys beautiful scarves at 413 Glassworks!
