Emissions from coal are accelerating the greenhouse effect. Warming median temperatures globally by a few degrees each year. Our atmosphere runs at peak efficiency around 300 ppm CO2. If that number gets to 600 ppm, the planet becomes uninhabitable. We are currently sitting at 408ppm. For anyone who doubts the scientific evidence (John Boehner, viewers of fox news.) I would ask you to take a look in any junior high science text book. Where they will surely explain it in a way you can wrap your head around.
