Michael Uchebo scored for Cercle Brugge in the 1-1 draw against Zulte-Waregem at the Jan Breydelstadion China (Super League) Yakubu Aiyegbeni failed to score for Guangzhou R&F as the club lost 0-1 to Shanghai Shenxin at the Jinshan soccer stadium. Former Super Eagles defender, Gabriel Melkam played all 90 minutes for Quingdao Jonoon but failed to prevent his side from suffering a 1-3 defeat to Guangzhou Evergrande at the Tianhe stadium. Peter Utaka was replaced on the stroke of half time and his replacement, Joffre Guerrón scored the winner as Beijing Guoan beat Hangzhou 1-0 at the Workers’ stadium. Denmark (Superliga) Fernando Adi was an unused substitute for København in the 3-0 win over Aalborg at the Parken. Sylvester Igboun played all 90 minutes for Midtjylland in the club’s 1-1 draw against Randers at the MCH Arena. Igboun’s compatriots, Rilwan Hassan and Ebere Onuachu were both drafted in as second half substitutes by the Midtjylland trainer, Glen Riddersholm. England (Barclays English Premier League) John Obi Mikel was not listed by the Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho as the Blues produced a brilliant second half performance to beat Cardiff City 4-1 at Stamford Bridge. Peter Odemwingie started for Cardiff but was substituted in the second half. Omatsone Aluko has played all league games for Hull City this weekend and on Saturday, he started again as the Tigers lost 1-2 to Everton at Goodison Park. Aluko was impressive in the game and provided an intelligent assist for teammate Yannick Sagbo on the half hour which temporarily pegged the scores at 1-1. Stephen Quinn replaced the Nigerian after 73 minutes. Victor Anichebe played for 75 minutes as West Browmwich Albion drew 0-0 against Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium. Victor Moses played all 90 minutes for Liverpool in the 2-2 draw against Newcastle United at St James’ Park. Jordon Ibe has found a place in the first team almost impossible to come by following the excellent form displayed by Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge this season. Ibe was not listed by the Reds boss, Brendan Rodgers on Saturday. France (Ligue 1) Vincent Enyeama is fast becoming one of the most consistent players in Ligue 1. The Super Eagles goalkeeper was by far Lille’s best player in the club’s 1-0 win over Montpellier Stade de la Mosson. In the 10 league games he’s started this season, Enyeama has kept an astonishing eight clean sheets. Germany (Bundesliga) Chinedu Obasi’s season of despair continued at Schalke as he was left out of the squad in the club’s s 3-2 win over Eintracht Braunschweig at the Eintracht stadion. Obasi has not played a single minute in any competition for Schalke this season. Italy (Serie B) Nnamdi Oduamadi was an unused substitute for Brescia in the 4-1 win over Cittadella at the Satdio Mario Rigamonti. Serie A Ogenyi Onazi played all 90 minutes for SS Lazio in the club’s 1-2 loss to Atalanta at the Stadio Atleti Azzurri dItalia (Bergamo). The Netherlands (Eredivisie) After failing to get a single minute in any of Heerenveen’s last three Eredivisie games, Uche Nwofor finally got the nod from club trainer, Marco Van Basten to play in the final 10 minutes against Vitesse. It was however a day to forget for the Nigerian youngster as Heerenveen threw away a two- goal lead to lose 2-3 at the Abe Lenstra stadion. Norway (Eliteserien) Daniel Chima scored for the third match day in succession netting Molde’s winner against Hønefoss at the Aka Arena. Chima has now scored nine league goals this season. Emmanuel Ekpo was also on for Molde as he was drafted in as a 67th minute substitute by the club’s gaffer, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Akeem Latifu played for all 90 minutes but failed to prevent a 0-1 loss for Aalesund against the leaders, Strømsgodset at the Color Line Stadion. His compatriot, Leke James was not listed. Poland (Ekstraklasa) Princewill Okachi was not listed for Widzew Lódz in their 0-1 loss to Zaglebie Lubin at the Dialog Arena. Former junior international, David Abwo played all 90 minutes for the victors. Russia (Premier League) Victor Obinna was an unused substitute for Lokomotiv Moscow in the 2-2 draw against Krylya Sovetov at the Stadion Metallurg. It is now five straight games without a win for CSKA Moscow in the Russia Premier League and Ahmed Musa’s contributions amounted to little as the Army club lost 0-2 to Zenith St Petersburg at the Stadion Petrovskij. Musa played all 90 minutes in the game. Dele Adeleye was dropped to the bench as FK Anzhi Makhachkala lost 0-1 to Spartak Moscow at the Anzhi Arena. Scotland (Premiership) Efe Ambrose and the Celtic side were at the Easter Road stadium to face Hibernian and the game ended in a 1-1 draw. Ambrose played all 90 minutes.
