Encouraged but still cautiously optimistic... Cam Newtons cumulative numbers (over the last 4 games) — 64.4 percent completion percentage, 7.5 yards per attempt, 13 touchdowns against seven interceptions — say the most about where he is as a quarterback right now. Given that his receiving corps is limited at best, and that he offers additional value as a runner, hes an extremely talented, valuable football player. That should have been obvious a month ago, but if it took a four-game winning streak to remind people of how good Cam Newton can be, so be it.
