Encouraging Girl Education I am a teacher and I have been teaching for over seven years now. I love this profession. I really enjoy it and feel very proud when I see my students satisfied by my efforts to teach them. All this time I have been teaching only boys and now for the first time I am teaching girls. Presently I work as a teacher in a district where it is for the first time that girls graduated from school have begun studying in college to earn degrees. And, God willing they will be our future teachers within two years . The students strength was almost 70 or 80 only in one class. I believe the people of the district and the girls brothers and others of the family dont support them as much as girls need. These girls need more convincing and encouragement. Yesterday, in my second period of teaching, besides teaching, I also told them You are like my own sisters and if I teach you and treat you like sisters then my own mother , sister and wife would be respected by others. But if I dont respect you, God forbid, then my family too will face the same. Finally, I want to say that change comes from within ourselves and from our family. Self-reformation is world reformation, if you want that people respect you then you have to respect others.
