Encouraging Word For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment. James 2:13 KJV The Encouraging Words lately have been over mercy. Wednesdays Encouraging Word was Matthew 5:7. Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. If you are merciful and give mercy you will obtain mercy. But now James 2:13 tells us the other side of it. For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; Have you showed mercy? Not necessarily to someone walking by, but to Christ? He was beaten, slapped, whipped, spat upon, His beard pulled out, a crown of thorns shoved on His head, and railroad spikes stuck through His hands and feet for you. Have you shown mercy to Him? Have you asked Him sincerely for forgiveness of all that youve done against Him and began living for Him? That is showing Him mercy. If you havent, you are going to have judgement without mercy. ...and mercy rejoiceth against judgment. My pastor once said, Mercy is not getting that which you do deserve.
