Encouraging words from Tauna Nelson, our DIC Program Director: Christmas was an overwhelmingly amazing time! I cannot even begin to count the amount of volunteer hands that threw in to make that event possible. Shout out to Angela Medrano and her crew for cooking an incredible Christmas dinner, Northwood Christian Church for letting us use their 32 passenger travel bus and Paul Bastanelli for driving 25 kids, staff and volunteers to Laser Tag. How could I forget Terry Geil, a local professional comedian who came in to do a show for the kids when we returned and Calvary Chapel folks who stuck around and decorated Christmas cookies with our kid’s. That’s not all my friends, the next morning the kids woke up to Christmas stockings that were made possible by awesome people in the community who donated money and gift cards, as well as a beautiful Christmas morning breakfast provided by Greater McKenzie Younglife’s Younglives leaders and family! God is so good and his people are so faithful! Smiles were not in a shortage that morning!
