English Language and Mathematics are based on rules , in English , two past tenses must not follow eachother , a capital letter must follow a full stop , in Mathematics , we have only one answer to a question , Calculations must be appt : it is foolish of two men to soak a bag of garri for lunch , so it is , to take off from Akure , by 7 AM , hoping to meet up with an appointment in Lagos by 7. 10 AM the same day . Literature is an art , so it is not based on rules , it is based on intution . There is no proto type answer in Literature : the only key is : what faces one person , backs another . If a candidate says that Okonkwo is a brave man , because it takes a brave man to commit suicide , he is right , if he can prove such according to context . If another says , Okonkwo is a coward , becauise only cowards run away from problems , he is right . If one says , Macbeth is brave , because he fought his way to his ambitious point , he is right . If another says he is weak , because he listened and worked on the dictates of his ambitious wife . He is equally right .literature is all about intution : it is an art .
