English Pointer @ Columbiana County Dog Pound in Lisbon, Ohio: *SCHEDULED TO BE EUTHANIZED TUESDAY OCT 28* due to overcrowding in a small rural county dog pound in northeastern OH. Per email: PEPPER is a female English Pointer, approx 1 year old, very friendly and high energy. She has been living outside, not spayed, with a thin plastic dog house as shelter; a dog house she regularly knocked apart in her exuberance. She had been living there since at least August when she found herself with new owners. We are unsure of her living arrangements prior to that. Pepper was recently relinquished to us as her caretaker suffered a broken neck, is currently unemployed due to her injury and unable to provide an appropriate dog house for Pepper, nor can she manage her to make her an inside dog. We desperately need some relief from the overcrowding. All of our kennels are full and we have resorted to crating incoming dogs in crates in our storage room.
