English and Español Sow Seeds of Truth Jesus told the story of a farmer who sowed seeds. A seed fell on hardened ground and a bird ate it. Another fell on a rocky place with shallow soil. It sprouted quickly, but withered under the sun’s glare. One fell among thorns and could not take root. Many seed fell on healthy soil and bore a plentiful crop of wheat. Jesus explained that the Evil One, also known as Satan and the devil, snatches the gospel away from people who do not understand it. When the soil is healthy, the gospel takes root and people come to know God. Satan steals seeds of truth from those who do not comprehend what Jesus did for us. Jesus commands us to share the gospel and to talk about him—it’s how we thwart the Enemy. Today, we celebrate God’s bountiful harvest as living testimonies to his amazing grace and love for us.
