Enjoyed watching something different after a long time. A journey with the music, towards something grand. Reassessing own abilities, taking it to the next level, never giving up at the most critical moment...yes they do sound like any other shounen anime, except this time the story dealt with the formation of a band, their struggle to stand up in the crowd, and finally drawing peoples attention with some nice tracks. Yes, loved the songs throughout the series. Just like those who loved Bakuman for their motivation in drawing manga, Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad will definitely pump up the musical folks here.
