Enlightenment: I like to think that everything I do is consistent. It isnt, but I like to think it is. I lose my temper, I get cranky, I sometimes do things that I know would get a dirty look from God. Mostly, I try to remain result-oriented, so instead of bogging down in present-tense upsets, I focus on what it is I set out to accomplish. Where “enlightenment” comes into play is in a simple question, Is it all right with you that the universe is doing what it is doing? Because the universe is going to do what it does no matter what I think. Whenever I ask myself this, it forces me to realize that anything thats going on with me is the story Im telling about it. When I say, Okay, the universe is just doing what its designed to do, then I can get on with doing what Im designed to do as well, instead of wasting time arguing with the laws of nature. (Nature doesnt negotiate. People do.)
