Enough is Enough.... I continue to read about the terrible events - TopicsExpress

Enough is Enough.... I continue to read about the terrible events that took place in Missouri. Regardless of skin color a young man lost his life and a officer of the law had to use his firearm. Both the family and the officer are regretting the events of that day and that should be the focus of the story. However, social media, news outlets, ignorance and hate have turned this tragedy into a circus. Why can people not understand that their actions following this tragedy are only making matters worse. The violence, name calling, finger pointing etc... are not doing anyone any good except for encourageing hate and discontent between all parties involved. Do I believe the young man wanted to die? Or do I believe the officer wanted to take a human life? ABSOLUTELY NOT and anyone that thinks different is foolish. Does the family have a right to be sad and heart broken or to want answers? ABSOLUTELY. That is part of the natural healing process: in the time of loss, we all want answers and deserve answers. However, seeking answers is not always easy. They are laws that prevent some information from being provided in a timely manner. While the family deserves to know, the officers and police department have rights as well and society has to accept this. Instead of accepting the process, we have NUMEROUS people trying to benefit from this tragic event. Whether its the media, NAACP, attorneys, KKK or the nosey neighbor, people are trying to make this about them, instead of what its really about. A young man was killed by a police officer. THE END. Not that a white man shot a black man. Regardless of skin color, it is horrible to lose a loved one. As a member of public safety, it is also horrible to see a life lost. With that being said, I hope that this Great Country we live in can find a way to put both racism and ignorance behind us. Before you criticize, stop just for a second and try to put yourself in the other persons shoes. Try to look at things from someones elses perspective. Stop being so close minded and attempt to use the good since that the Lord gave you. Strength can be found in knowledge and love but not in ignorance and hate.... The end
