Implementation and operations of Routing, Switching and Security protocols in Data Center, Call Center, corporate LAN/WiFi, VPN, as per the standards and best industry practices. Potential Career Path: Horizontal growth to higher grades, executive, Specialist, Expert Vertical growth as a people manager Internal movement to IP/MPLS team Your typical day at work: 1.Configure high availability for the network nodes including routers, switches and firewalls. 2.Troubleshoot the LAN, Wireless, and WAN network segment. 3.Maintain and upgrade the corporate LAN infrastructure 4.Maintain, troubleshoot and upgrade corporate WiFi infrastructure including APs, WLC, WCS 5.Ensure high availability of network Infrastructure at data center and timely response to O&M related issues in DC with proactive monitoring & administration. 6.Execute all corporate scalability projects, working with vendors and cross functional teams 7.Corporate infrastructure documentation, diagrams, IP scheming and configuration templates. 8.Troubleshoot access network issues including DHCP, DNS and DOS attacks 9.Well conversant with CA Spectrum, health, Solarwinds, HP Service Manager, and CiscoWorks. 10.Execute the periodic preventive maintenance activities for all network segments. 11.Maintain, troubleshoot and upgrade Network Security infrastructure, FWs, ACS, IPS and VPN 12.Identify Layer 2 & 3 threats and configure switches, FWs routers to prevent such attacks. 13.Configure and manage Cisco ACS, RADIUS, TACACS+, EAP, 802.1x and related protocols. 14.Intrusion prevention, attacks mitigation and prevention both from inside and outside network. 15.Good experience in remote client, site to site and SSL VPN. 16.Upgrade and implementation of Enterprise network security considering the future requirements with technology evolution of HW, SW, IOS, bugs and security patches. 17.Close monitoring, reporting and assuring the total elimination of all security attacks. 18.Apply multilayer network security strategy to mitigate both internal and external threats/attacks. 19.Develop migration strategies and integration of different business critical security nodes and services. 20.Vendors coordination for customized solutions and develop business cases. Installation and commissioning of new equipment including Cisco routers, switches & firewalls. Functional Skills/Knowledge Areas: 1.Excellent skills and technical knowledge in LAN (Cisco 3560, 3750, 4500), & WLAN (Cisco Prime Infrastructure, WLC, lightweight & autonomous APs ) 2.Excellent skills and technical knowledge in WAN (MPLS, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP) Technologies. 3.Excellent skills in Networks & related equipment; Router, Access and core Switches and Access Points. Routing protocols, Layer-2 Protocols and related. 4.Good hands on skills in Cisco Nexus switch for network scalability, architectural changes. 5.Cisco routers and switches configuration while using different protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, MPLS ,VLAN,VRRP,HSRP,PVST for L2 and L3 communication. 6.Active experience in Data Center & Financial Services Networks, Cisco infrastructure based. 7.Excellent skills in IP Networks Security, having experience of Design, Implementation and Operations. Key Areas - Perimeter, Access & Information Control and Data Center Networks. 8.Strong working knowledge & experience of different security protocols, ISO Standards & related; ISO27001. Has in-depth knowledge of AAA Services; Authentication, Authorization & Accounting. 9.Strong knowledge of Cisco, Juniper, Checkpoint Firewall Products, VPN, ACS, IPS/IDS, FWSM/IDSM, MARS, NAC Appliance. 10.Securely manage network devices using Network Monitoring tools; Cisco ASDM, CA Spectrum, Solar winds, CiscoWorks, MRTG/PRTG, Syslog, Wire Shark & others. 11.Strong hands on skills on network security, Implementation and Operations.
