Environment Canada has released a SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT for Fri, Jan 2: Heavy snowfall likely for parts of Southern Saskatchewan Friday. A weak low pressure system will bring another skift of snow to Southern Saskatchewan Thursday evening. No significant accumulations are expected Thursday night. However, a more intense weather system is expected to pass by on Friday bringing the likelihood of heavy snow to parts of Southern Saskatchewan. Around 10 (possibly as high as 15 cm) of snow will fall Friday. This would occur mainly in the afternoon and early evening. Gusty winds will make for blustery conditions and poor visibilities at times. This system will push off Friday night leaving temperatures well below normal for the rest of the weekend and beyond. The public is advised to monitor future forecasts and warnings as warnings may be required or extended . . . for links to the highway hotline, local forecast and weather radar visit Your Community Links on our website: twmnews/your-community-links.html
