Environment Online (ENO) Greece 1st ENO Greece International Symposium Thessaloniki 17 to 20 October 2013 “Schools and Sustainable Development” Wednesday 16th October Arrival in Greece of International Attendees - welcomed by Greek hosts. Day One – Thursday 17th October 09.00 – 09.30 Registration 09.30 – 10.30 Welcome on behalf of ENO Greece Administrative arrangements and program for conference 10.30 – 11.00 Keynote speech and address by official sponsors 10.00 – 11.30 10 minute presentation from each country. 11.00 – 12.00 Coffee break. [Admin: All those who wish to join in optional events for whole conference (Greek Taverna, Boat Trip, etc.) MUST complete and hand in their Options Sheet at this time] 12.30 – 12.45 Presentation of ENOGREECE exchanging program 12.45 – 13:45 Presentations by Scientific committee 14-15.30: Lunch 15.30 – 17.30 Workshops – International carousel of 3 groups, each with participants from all countries. A group coordinator will be appointed for each group discussing: 1. Environment 2. Culture 3. International Cooperation 17.30 – 18.00 Break 18.00 – 19.00 Group presentations. 10 mins + general forum of 20 mins for each topic 21.00 – 23.00 Optional dinner at Traditional Greek Taverna Day Two – Friday 18th October 10.00 – 14.00 Split into small groups to visit Greek schools -workshops– tree planting 14.00 – 15.30 Lunch. Students with Greek families, Teachers with official sponsor. 18:00 - 19:00 Philharmonic orchestra of Thessaloniki in the center of the town 19.30 – 24.00 Boat trip at Thermaikos and dinner in old town Day Three – Saturday 19th October 09.00 – 14.00 Split into two groups exploring historical timeline with visits to museums and cultural sites, most probably including: Archeological Museum Byzantine Museum Catacombs of Ag. Demetrios 14.00 - 16.00 Lunch-coffee (optional) 16.00 - 20.00 Free time 20:00 - Thessaloniki by night (optional). Join in musical groups for traditional music and dance Day Four – Sunday 20th October 11 :00 Transport to cultural venue 12.00 – 14.00 Presentation of their cultural heritage by each country 14.00 - 16.00 Lunch 16.00 – 17.00 Closing address and awards. Official Conference ends.
