Environmental Plank: Government grants will be given out to fund research on more efficient sources of renewable energy such as nuclear power and tidal. A focus on systems designed to have minimal environmental impact and a stricter review process on the long term impacts and efficiency. Our current uranium powered nuclear power plants will be over time replaced by more efficient and renewable thorium powered reactors. These reactors will make use of the thousands of tons of waste from rare earth metal mines already in place. Subsidies towards car manufacturers and bio diesel producers, to integrate bio diesels into the current infrastructure. Bio diesels based on algae taken from areas of environmentally damaging algae blooms will receive increased funding. In addition, tracts of desert will be converted to large algae fields for biodiesel production.
