Ephesians 1:3-4 (NIV) Praise for Spiritual Blessings in Christ 3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. 4 For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! This is our instruction to give Him praise, to soeak well of Him for all He has done for us. God alone is worthy of our praise and worship. All that we have is beacuse we are in Christ. This phrase or its equivalent occurs twelve times in. Ephesians. It is a reminder of our unity with Christ and with each other. We are a blessed people simply because we are in Christ. We are declared justified; we have no condenmnation because of our sin. We have been set free in Jesus. We have eternal life and the promise of a resurrected body. We are adopted sons and daughters, and we are His workmanship. The list goes on and on! Maybe you will have time this weekend to take your Bible and just begin to search for all the spiritual blessings that we have in Christ. All of these are blessings in the heavenly places— what a great reminder that this is not our final destination. We havean eternal home in heaven. Dont be discouraged when pressures and temptations show up at your doorstep. He has started a work in you He will finish. You are a blessed person, so bless His name today! Father, today as I go about my day, help me to remember all the blessings that are mine in Christ. When I am tempted to whine or feel sorry for myself because of adverse circumstances, remind me of all that I have in Christ. Make me a blessing to those around me because of Your presence in me. Thank You for loving me and purchasing my redemption through the blood of Your Son, Jesus. In Christ s name, Amen.
