Episode 69 Joy was sitting outside on the swinger chair. Sky was standing far from her leaning on the balcony smoking his DH LITE. Joy was craving for a smoke so much that she tried her luck and asked him. “uphambene” he exclaimed as he stepped on the bud and then walked over and sat next to her raising her legs and putting them on top of his lap. “you are not allowed to smoke nor drink my love” Joy: “but…” Sky: “ha.a no buts… you are not going to smoke nor drink! Promise me you won’t” Joy: “yhu hay kodwa” [she pouted] Sky: “I am not kidding!” [he maintained a straight face and looked at her, she felt chills down her spine. His eyes were no the normal phase they usually were. She realised that he was serious more than a heart attack.] Joy: “okay ke… I promise” Sky: “good!” [he began massaging her feet].. “iyakufanela leGown yazi” Joy: “ha ha ha thanks I love it with my pj’s aswell” Sky: “it’s a pleasure my love” [he kissed her feet] Suddenly his phone rang. He looked at it and then looked at Joy. “sorry minxi… I need to take this” he got up and went down the stairs, he sat on the last one and spoke on the phone. Joy got up and went inside the house. Phozisa was laying on the couch. Changing the channels on the television and chewing the bublegum strongly and annoyingly. Joy: “uphi uphelisa?” Phozisa: “uyahlamba” Joy: “okay” She walked away to the kitchen and found her mother and aunt cooking. Joy: “anithandi upheka” Nozi: “hay wethu sesilapha, we might as well have brunch” Joy: “oh, well Ma can we talk” Celeste: “sure sweety, whats the matter?” Joy: “uhm… in private please” Celeste: “okay” The followed each other and stood outside the kitchen near the dinner table. Joy: “I want junior to sleep here tonight, im taking him shopping tomorrow before you guys leave” Celeste: “well that’s good nje, I don’t see a problem” Joy: “kalok nina xa nihamba you will take the twins with you” Celeste: “there is no room nje” Joy: “mother… they can share” Celeste: “alright ke baby” Joy: “thanks” She walked away and went to lounge. Phozisa had not moved an inch from her position. Joy was so annoyed she wished she could just give her a lights out with a hot klap but she restrained herself.she had already made a bad impression on sky by chasing her family out. Joy: “ndicela nipakishe, you guys are sleeping at the house tonight, its gonna be easy for you to wake up nibe senihamba” Phozis: “there is no need, siyashiyeka thina… Sammy and Jay bought a house so they are moving out and uDabs said we can stay here as long as we like” Joy: “here?” Phozisa: “yeah she said you could use the company and besides that house is huge for phelisa ad I alone” Joy: “well anizukwazi uhlala apha kwam” Phozisa: “but…” Joy: “phozisa please… I need my privacy besides I can’t have two grown women coming in and out in my house, conflict of interest! So please ndicela uxelele uphelisa to pack! Sivene ne?” Phozisa nodded, joy walked away up the stairs wadibana noPhelisa carrying her bag. “haybo whats with the bag” Phelisa: “oh siyahamba alok, phof mna im moving to the house since sishiyeka” Joy: “and phozisa?” Phelisa: “don’t know, don’t care” Joy: “yho okay” Joy walked inside her room. The sight of her blood on the carpet sent thrills down her spine. She shrieked and closed the door behind her. She had even forgotten what she was looking for. She went back outside to sky. She felt annoyed when she saw that he was still on the phone. She stood against the stair rail leaning on it with her arms folded. Sky got up and walked up the stairs while he spoke on the phone, he handed over her phone which was ringing, kissed her on her forehead and when back to the bottom of the stairs. Joy looked at her phone, it was the office. Joy: “hello?” Nicole: “joy? We need dean’s file” Joy: “why?” Nicole: “he killed himself” Joy: “but… how? Why?” Nicole: “remember when I said our detectives have deep issues?” Joy: “yeah?” Nicole: “well this is such a case” Joy: “yho!! Well check in my cabinet, his file has a blue star” Nicole: “thanks… have a great weekend” Joy: “you too… thanks” She hung up and by now sky was done, he was standin behind her holding her waist and kissing her neck lightly and featherly. Sky: ?you okay?” Joy: “im… im fine its just a patient well … a colleague commited suicide” Sky: “im sorry” Joy: “no its okay” Sky: “want to do dinner tonight? My place” Joy: “you want to cook for me?” Sky: “uhm… no my butler will cook but if its any consolation then yes I will cook” Joy cracked up in laughed, laying her head on his chest. He brushed her hair and held her closer. Sky: “so you are coming?” Joy: “yes I will be there… my first time in your house hmmm” Sky: “great, the driver will be here at 6” She grabbed his hand and checked the time on his watch. “that gives me 9 hours to prepare” Sky looked at her intensely and deep in thought. ‘she is such a goddess’ he thought as he watched her smile at him and blush because his deep stare was becoming too much for her. Sky: “so I better go and deal with some business while I wait for my empress to join me for dinner later today” [he kissed her forehead and went down the stairs. Joy: “Nozulu?” [he paused and looked at her]… “I love you” Sky: “ I know my love… I love you too” [he blew a kiss, got in his car and left… she stood there and watched him drive off. He hooted just before he disappeared. She smiled and looked down her baby ‘I almost lost you my lil sky’ …………. Boni had just woken up from a queen sized bed. Nomsa walked in already dressed for training. Nomsa: “wake up dear… your training begins today” Boni: “can a take a bath first?” Nomsa: “sure… you clothes are in the closet” She walked out leaving boni stretching and yawning. Jacob walked in with a cup of soup. Jacob: “morning” [he handed her the cup] Boni: “morning… thanks” Jacob: “uhm listen im sorry about last night” Boni: “im sorry too… I shouldn’t have, well I don’t know” They cracked up in laughter, boni took a sip on her soup. Jacob stared at her intensely and deeply in thought. ‘vuyo made a very great choice, this woman is beautiful’ he thought as he stood before her and looked down on her. Boni: “you are making me feel uncomfortable” Jacob: “sorry… I was just wondering!! Vuyo has a very great eye when it comes to women! So here I am wondering why we never met first” Boni looked down. She was evidently bushing. She smiled and shook her head. “I guess we will know, now will we?” Jacob: “no.. I guess not”[he walked to the door and then paused] “make it snappy, we have training especially you!!” ………….. Asanda woke up in early hours of the morning she rearranged the furniture to make space for sam and his wheelchair. After that she made a storm of a breakfast, bathed Oli and then bathed herself. While dressing up she heard Sam screaming her name. she heard that he was not only screaming but he was crying innboth anger and paih. She wore an oversized t-shirt and ran to his room. Her eyes popped as she entered and saw sam crying and laying on the floor near his wheelchair. He had attempted to get on it by himself but clearly he failed. She tried touching and helping him but he screamed at her and told her to go away.sam: “ndiyeke!! Leave me… ndiyeke maaahn!!!!” no matter how loud he screamed she still insisted on helping him. She was not saying a word because she couldn’t say anything, tears were racing down her face as she literally fought with him, trying to get him up but he was just not budging. Naye he was screaming his lungs out. Finally after a long battle he was tired and he let her help him. She pushed him to the bathroom, took off his PJ’s and bathed him. She wore him his a t-shirt and jean shorts. It was a helluva battle to get him off the chair and onto the bed and then on the chair again. And through this whole battle, no one said a word to the other. Asanda: “I made you breakfast” Sam: “im not hungry bhabha” Asanda: “samkelo…” [she looked at him with ters in her eyes. She was hurt and angry at the same time]… “you are hurting me” He looked down, unable to lookher in the eye because he knew that he was defnately being selfish towards her. Sam: “asanda… come” [he pulled her and made her sit on his lap]… “this is hard for the both of us, and I am not making it any easier… I am sorry my love, please forgive me!! I promise I will eat and let you help me” [she smiled and kissed his forhead] “am I forgiven?” Asanda: “ofcourse” She got up and pushed him to the kitchen. Olwethu had fallen asleep in the lounge while laying with his toys. Asanda dished up for sam and then took oli to her room.she came back, now dressed in jeans and a t-shirt. Sam: “my physio is coming today” Asanda: “I can take oli out and give you guys some privacy” Sam: “no… I want you here, with me” Asanda: “every step of the way my love” She kissed him and then fed him. Sam: “yhu hay bhabha… kuthen undityisa nje” Asanda: “you are my baby kalok”
