Epworth: She Never Saw Me Play I was thinking of the past this bleak and somber day and I was thinking how sad it is that she never saw me play. There was nothing in this world that I wanted more than to be with her at the tender age of four, and, yet, regrettably, she never saw me score. She never saw me bounce a ball or slide into second base because I lived at Epworth and she was in another place. When I went out in the morning and played ball all day, it hurts me to know that she never saw me play. When I shot the winning goal and scored the last touchdown, I regret to this day that she was not in town. In life, there are many things that we often do lament and playing ball for her would have been time well spent. Mama, there are lots of things you never saw me do, but, all the while I was doing lots of things for you. Still, it saddens me to know that you never saw me play, but, in my heart I know that you will one bright and joyful day.
