Eric Frein doesn’t watch much TV. If he did, and if he believed - TopicsExpress

Eric Frein doesn’t watch much TV. If he did, and if he believed all the hype we’ve been hearing about his prowess in the woods and his clear ability to shoot a couple cops, he’d have gone out in a blaze of Butch & Sundance glory. Instead, he was captured. Either way, he will see the inside of a courtroom, and likely spend what’s left of his life in jail. Prosecutors will demand his life be short as possible, but even if he is sentenced to die, he’ll languish in a cell 30 years or so. Judge Roy Bean, a judge of a much earlier and generally more violent era in our nation’s history, is reputed to have declared his intent to “Give the guilty bastard a fair trial and hang him in the morning.” I suggest a room within earshot of a train whistle, would be a more fitting punishment – with many long and contemplative years of listening to it and realizing how poor an idea it was to hide among some trees and kill a trooper who’s sworn duty was to ensure his long and happy freedom from guys like Eric Frein.
