MY~Thank you, at this point I do not know how many episodes have aired there up through now, however this was a series that was long running. Afterwards it first appeared in the Arab world then the Balkans, and it then continued to be sold to other countries and it was well liked. For me the response is very interesting while I am sitting at home there are guests coming for Serbia, and I get the opportunity to chat with them as well as from the Balkans and other countries, and also the middle east. Of course I do not have the opportunity to visit these areas myself because of my heavy working schedule. But for me the feelings of this are quite interesting and beautiful for the responses from these areas, thank you. ?~In this series you play the role of Demir Dogan, he is quite tight-lipped and at times even a bit melancholy. Was it for you, and your temperament, difficult to play such a role? MY~Of course with being an actor and performing all the different types of characters it becomes a part of us, while it is not a one on one exact representation, but the feelings that you feel, and you own personal characteristics come into the forefront, but with this some of this comes out in the forefront and some comes out afterwards. I cannot say that the characteristics of Demir Dogan and I are one on one with my personal being but whether it be melancholy, romanticism, pride, stubbornness all of these due exist but which is more or which is less I cannot decipher right now. ?~ In the series when you go to jail and when your father in law is trying to save you, but you on the other side don’t agree with him because you blame him for the death of your mother. How much did the plot of the series make the series so interesting for so many viewers? MY~The name of the character for us was Ihsan however what he is called there I do not know but it was a very well thought out feeling of revenge afterwards there was a very different I really do not want to say what is going to happen but there was a relationship that took me to other feelings towards the relationship with my father in law. Yes I remember in the beginning we fell on the complete opposite sides because for Demir Dogan to return to the city of Antakya one of the reasons were better yet the reason for him to remain the most important reason was to get retribution for the wrong doings to his family and the feelings of it being unnecessary and maybe the feeling of revenge. And the person that he felt was the most responsible was his father in law he was to get back at him, and towards him he was more prejudice he is going to learn who his father in law actually is very slowly, but right now the episodes that you are currently watching are the episodes that have a lot of tension between them. ?~When you said, well, that you were shooting a lot, how did the actors get along with each other? It seems that the crew was very well-rehearsed (a well organized team). On the other hand, do you still keep in touch with each other up to today, do you socialize with each other, because usually the viewers think that friendships while working on set continue in private life. MY~Why Yes, working outside the city actually for a series is very difficult because you are far away from your home, far away from your friends, actually this is a (cough, very sorry) it is kind of like a mandatory draft. Also when you start to develop friendships with the people in that city then the city becomes a more enjoyable environment, the set becomes more enjoyable, and we were also very lucky that the entire crew got along so well, we were all quite an enjoyable crew there. Antakya is also a city that is very mystic, full of history and is very beautiful. During our free time we would all have a lot of good times. Also I am think that this was also made obvious to the cameras as well, showing the results of the friendships that we developed behind the scenes. As I said Tuba is married. She is married to someone else and I am married to someone else, they now have two beautiful children. There was never anything between us, we were always friends. But in the press primarily out of the country especially I heard that it was reported. But these kinds of reports were never made in Turkey because in Turkey everyone knew who and what was really going on and that nothing like that was going on. But outside the country people were obviously influenced by what they were watching and they thought we were a good match and those false reports were made… its normal. Tuba has had twins now, and because I have started a new working schedule I have not had a chance to visit. Her husband was also in the series ASI portraying the character of Ziya, he is also a close friend, one that I like very much. Now they have two beautiful children I am going to visit them in the upcoming days I have not been able to and they are probably angry with me. ?~You were associated with various actresses, it is also said that for example, that you proposed your wife in a very interesting way. MY~I have been married for 3 years, my wife is also an actress like me as well, we shared the lead in a series is how we met , afterwards we were together for two years after that we married we do not have any children but are planning for next year. As for my personal life I live a secluded life, in my home, I enjoy being with my friends , we are in constant touch with both of our mothers and fathers. It cannot be said that I spend much time outside I live away from the reporters/journalist but I am very much at peace with this I am very happy, and I can say that everything is going on the way I want it to be. ?~Women of all ages, at least in Serbia, love you very much and say that you have that special something. What could it be? MY~Yes I have been told this before, even from Turkish friends this age group what it is based on I don’t understand. I guess the elder one see me more like their son and that is in the warmth of the scenes and the story and the way the portrayal is viewed. But being able to act like an older brother to a young boy, may view you differently, and for the young girls the personal scenes with Tuba, and for others the friendship scenes. Like I said there are a lot of groups and their views based on what they see in your stance in the series. And if we can attract the attention of different types viewers that this is very nice. ?~May I ask you, who are your role models in acting? Who do you like watching on a small screen? MY~There are many if we start with Javier Bardem, I don’t know, to Robert Downey Junior, Johnny Depp and going back further Al Pacino, Marlon Brando, Sean Penn, there are many performers that I like. I grew up with them, and I still follow them with admiration. ?~I heard that you had an a funny story regarding a meeting with Adrien Brody? MY~Yes at a conference at a University Adrien Brody was something that I had explained, he had come to Turkey to a film festival, the Antalya Film Festival, at that time my English was even worse, at least now I can explain my issues, I am not as bad now. When I saw him in front of me of course I was at first shocked, because I was not expecting it at that moment. Up to that point I have never gone up to anyone to have a picture taken together. I immediately sent my wife a message and asked “please tell me some phrases in English I would like to say some nice things to Adrien Brody”. But until she sent back a message I saw that he was leaving, he had just gotten off the elevator and is standing in front of me, he turned his back and with my bad accent I said “Adrien” he turned and smiled Adrien is it possible to take a picture, he responded yes of course. He came and we are taking a picture, I looked at the photo I did not like it , I said this is to distance can we take another one , I put my arm around the man and am pulling him closer, meanwhile I am questioning myself as to what am I doing to this man like this, he of course said sure you can take another one, I gave the camera and we took another photo. At the same time someone walks in and says “AH, he is taking pictures with the guy who is in the series ASI lets go and have a photo taken too. ?~What about music? I heard that you play drums very well. Do you perhaps regret that your career didn’t head into that direction? MY~I really love music, had I not become an actor there was a huge change that I would have been a musician is what I am assuming. Of course what life has in store there is no way to know. Originally I was going to be an engineer, then my interest moved to music, then I was introduced to theater, then acting appeared in front of me. Life is still very long there is no way to know what is going to happen. ?~Do you have a wish that has not yet been achieved, and is it achievable in the near future? MY~While thinking about what I want out of life, I have always thought that whatever is going to be the best for me is what I have always wanted. Of course there are times when you really want something and it does not come to fruition it does slightly put you off balance, but if you have a true belief in life, you will think to yourself if this did not happen that would mean that it was for the better. If you say this to yourself quickly and if you truly believe and I do believe, I can honestly say that I never look back. But in the past seven months I experienced misfortunes where I was approached with and accepted roles for two separate movies and both were never filmed. This left me with the feeling of being movieless its been 3 years and I really miss it. Yes while doing serials it is viewed by a larger audience that is proof by your presence here but a movie is one of the most important aspects for an actor and this is way I really want to be involved in a movie as soon as possible, actually the correct term would be acting.
