Estrella De Amadeus update! Estrella has made some changes lately. No longer standing by the barn and obsessed with food, she is now spending more time grazing with her pals Rhiannon, Layla, Jerry Lee, KC and Akasha. She has finally relaxed, now that she trusts that she will be fed no matter what. She used to follow me every time I went to the feed room but she is now staying with her friends...watching me but staying with them. Progress! Estrella is continuing to gain weight, but at a slightly slower pace, perfect for a healthy recovery. She still eats more than any other horse on the farm...over a half bale of hay and several quarts of senior feed every day...amazing that such a delicate little girl can eat the way she does! We want to thank all of you who continue to inquire about her and send good wishes and donations. Estrellas story is just one of many here at the sanctuary.
