Chronicles of Las Vegas : When Celine Dion was booked, in 2002, for a five-years running contract at Ceasars Palace in Las Vegas, my keyboard artist husband and I relocated, from Montreal (Quebec, Canada) to the heart of desert. I quickly realized there was a great deal of interest for Las Vegas. Everybody, from my hometown to Australia and Europe were all very curious about our life in Las Vegas and seemed to think they knew everything about the fabulous and famous Las Vegas. I was surprised by their dreamlike visions and perceptions of the city. Las Vegas is not as magical as it seems. My integration was slowed down by many unforeseen obstacles such as; leaving a active professional life to become a housewife, adjusting to financial dependency, developing a new social network, immigrations issues, differences in culture and more.
