Eternity Begins Now John 6:47 “I tell you the truth, anyone who believes has eternal life” John 6:47 (NLT). I love this promise—we already have eternal life; so why am I not living like it? Instead I spend my time and energy pursuing things as if I only have a few measly decades to live. How shortsighted of me! So what does it look like to live eternally now? I imagine that eternity is a bit like this: A joyous celebration of all the things God has done, and continues to do for us; a continuous learning about Him through any means available—worshiping in His presence, basking in His wisdom, drinking in His beauty, feasting on His words, enjoying everything He created, getting to know His children, singing, eating, dancing, laughing, rejoicing… When looking at eternity in this light, it looks pretty awesome. When I think about living eternity now, I ask myself, “Can I do these things today?” And, of course, the answer is a resounding “Yes!” So why am I waiting for eternity when eternity begins now? ~Randy & Trena Reed
