Ethiopian President recounts ties with China Ahead of ＃Premier Li ＃Keqiang’s visit to his ＃country, ＃Ethiopian ＃President Mulatu Teshome sat down for an interview with ＃CCTV News. Many might be surprised to learn that the Ethiopian president has a long history with China. He came to the country as a student in 1970s to study at the prestigious Peking University, where he ultimately earned a PhD in International Law. Later, he was appointed as Ethiopia’s ambassador to China. In the candid exchange, President Teshome reminisced about his time as a student and about the state of Sino-Ethiopian relations today.
