Ethnic jingoists and religious bigots are on the prowl once more. Its election season, their breeding season and they are not disappointing in their natural obligations of polluting the landscape with their kinds who have sworn to feed us so generously with their trademark invectives. Nigeria is a democratic state, not the best form of government in my opinion. And ours is a religiously/ethnically plural nation. Therefore, supporting and discrediting a particular candidate respectively, for the reason of his ethnicity or religious convictions rather than his competence to lead and deliver in a plural nation like ours, is the hallmark of simpletons __the custodians of ethnic and religious bigotry. Nigeria will do a whole lot better without this group of people but unfortunately, they are part and parcel of every society. Let the elections be free and fair and whoever emerges from the free and fair process, as the choice of Nigerians should be given the needed cooperation no matter how this goes against our personal choices and interests. Let the jabbers be issue based. It shall be well with Nigeria, in shaa Allah
