#EuropeanParliament adopts #MEP Monica Luisa Macoveis Directive of extended seizure of illicit incomes. Extended seizure is an ambitious #EU Directive of its Romanian initiator based on follow the money principle, that aims #organizedcrime, #corruption , #abuseofpublicoffice, #taxevasion, #fraud & other offenses. The procedure consists in confiscation of illicit pecuniary & patrimonial results of criminal behavior with or without an existing criminal conviction. Benefits of the new EU legal enforcement include the authoritiess possibility of seizure of illicit goods, also when such goods are repeatedly sold/sent to relatives or third parties. Due to provisions, the confiscated goods will be socially reused in the benefit of public/ community interests.
