Even If I’m Alone in the Whole World: If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up (Daniel 3:17-18). I have wondered through the years, if it was sheer arrogance or deep conviction that made the Hebrew boys say “even if God does not rescue us, we will still not bow to your god”. That statement had bugged me for years… Just yesterday, I listened to a preacher who has quieted my troubled heart concerning that verse of the bible. He convinced me that it gets to a point in everyone’s life when we are convinced beyond doubt about what we believe… Like the Hebrew boys, I am now convinced about and publicly make these declarations… I will continue to pay tithe (10%) on all my incomes even if I get to heaven and discover that I shouldn’t! I will continue to live for, believe in and profess that Jesus Christ is the Lord of my life even if the whole world thinks otherwise! I will continue to preach the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ to as many people as I have access to, no matter what it costs me! I believe that marriage is between a man and a woman and any other arrangement is unacceptable to God. I may tolerate those with different view, but, my conviction is beyond debate… Remain blessed, Michael
