Even if you see me on most of the pictures I did not do the Seven Summits on my own, just like I have not done any other expedition by myself. Even if I did not have anyone paddling with me on my Around America Adventure, there where people around me without whom it would not have been, if not impossible, definitely a lot more difficult and a lot less fun. The same with my climbing expeditions. Already in 1996 I was introduced to the fantastic friendliness and hospitality of the Sherpas in Nepal during Görans expedition. From that day I knew that if I ever would try and climb Everest I want to have Sherpas as my companions. Not only for their strength, endurance and reenergizing smiles but also because of their approach and attitude towards the mountains. So on my own expedition to Everest I ended up having three sherpas who made it all the way to the summit with me, Kame, Mingmar and Lhakpa. And not to forget a very, very important Sherpa in Basecamp, Wongchu, who made it all possible. Thank you and your team at Peak Promotion for making Everest a fantastic expedition and experience.
