Even thou I an no longer in the PAC but i led in both NEC of pasma and PAC and I must say I still have soft spot for the student movement which I served with dedication . I will try to give my interpretation on the split 1 The split is the most baseless and counterproductive method that any grouping can use to try and prove a point to the other . 2. This has serious and far reaching political implications this means that pasma branches can act independent of the NEC depending on the material conditions provincial structures will automatically collapse and this will ultimately affect branches . 3. There will be no grounds made nor goals achieved the movement will be in constant state of paralysis and infighting and at the end the movement itself will collapse . 4 None of the two groupings can claim victory nor even celebrate this catastrophic disaster in the history of he student movement any elder or so called senior comrade who agrees with what has a happened clearly had not intention of building the movement other than their own selfish interest. Way forward 1 The unity of the movement will require utmost decipline and maturity from all groupings they should meet and discuss their differences 2. The unity must be coerced at all cost whether in principle or not because the difference is not ideological but a matter of individual preferences the movement was not for formed on the basis of who must lead but on pure ideological concviction to liberate Africans from colonialism, neo colonialism and imperialism with the vision of achieving a socialist society therefore if both groups share this vision I dont foresee any contradiction nor difficulty in uniting the student movement . 3. All groupings must take heed and study the PAC which has undergone a split in the patstand draw lessons from that I think all will agree that there has never been anything progressive that the split can achieve . 4. Leaders of both factions or groupings must call a meeting and discuss an inclusive power sharing deal which will function till the next congress and use the opportunity to unite the student movement . This can be achieved if any of the parties involved has any interest of the movement elders and so called senior comrade must advice the young people correctly and remember that leader, epochs ,situations and temporary contradictions come and go and what remains is the movement .
