Even though Evolution is the core principle of the game Spore, the game itself actually serves to highlight some of the most blindingly obvious problems with Evolution. Spore is a game in which the player goes through several stages of Evolution, beginning with undirected panspermia and ending in the space age. The game begins with the player choosing a planet on which to crash a comet, upon which are all the crucial ingredients for creating unicellular life, which the player must design themselves from various bodyparts. Problem 1 Just like the real life story of Evolution, Spore gives no explanation as to how, exactly, this unicellular life form came to be. Its just BANG, comet lands in the water, player designs cell. Cell exists. Continue game. In real life, unicellular life forms are ridiculously more complex. A single cell consists of numerous organelles, and are coded by their own DNA, the most complex coding system known to exist. No real explanation is given as to how this could POSSIBLY have happened naturalistically. Because it cant. Plain and simple, there is no naturalistic way for a single celled life form to exist without a previously existing cell. Problem 2 What did that cell eat? In Spore, untold amounts of other cells exist (with even less explanation than the players own cell). In real life, the chances of even ONE cell existing on its own are pretty much nil. But if it didnt happen, the newly created cell would starve to death pretty sharpish. Evolutionists are forced into believing 7 impossible things before breakfast. So within time the unicellular life form evolves onto the land, and again needs redesigning by the player. Problem 1 There is absolutely no explanation as to how the unicellular life form became multicellular. It just skips from single cell to multicell in one swift movement. The same problem exists in the real story of Evolution. The body of a multicellular organism is often as complex as a single cell, each with many organs (which, of course, are made of millions upon billions of tiny cells, each with their own organelles and controlled by a single genetic code). So, we now have a self-created machine combining with millions of others, completely randomly, to create an even bigger machine. Im sorry, but Im just not buying it. With each transition through the Spore Evolution story, the player redesigns the creatures over and over again. Spore, of course, isnt meant to be an explaination of Evolution, but this does highlight another problem in the real Evolution story. There are no transitions in Spore. Its just one design to the next. In the Evolution story, these transitions are also missing. The fossil record doesnt show the smooth transition of the Evolutionists tree. It shows the Creation orchard. Evolutionists have yet to provide any evidence of a smooth transition between the different phylum, and have even come up with ad hoc theories as to why this evidence doesnt exist. For example, Stephen Jay Gould (who would have made an EXCELLENT Creationist apologist) came up with the idea of punctuated equilibrium. That is, Evolution happened gradually, but suddenly made jumps so fast, they never fossilised. So, in other words, theres no evidence for Evolution, therefore Evolution happened too quickly. But these transitions face another problem: Irreducible complexity. In Spore, pretty much anything goes. You can have an animal with eyes in its bum, or holding its mouth in its hands, it wont die unless you take on an animal with more HP than yourself. Real life, however, is much less forgiving. The transition between most animal life would be fatal. Take, for example, the heart. Well question exactly how the blood vessels formed themselves and then, conveniently, filled with blood another time, but lets look solely at the heart. How? Just HOW do you create a heart, or even change a heart type between genus, without demolishing the entire genus? Genetic mutations in our own kind alone have caused heart problems. Imagine trying to get from the single-circulatory system of the fish to the double circulatory system of a mammal. The results would be catastrophic! And we wont even mention the need to connect the second circuit to the lungs, which are impossible enough on their own. The impossibility of Evolution is just indescribable. If you believe you are the product of Evolution, its time to run out and buy as many lottery tickets as you can afford, because you just cant lose!
