Even though I was not close to great uncle Leo I remember him being a good man that took care of his family. He would come down to our house in Benedict to visit us. He is also my grandfathers (Lester) twin brother. If you read how many kids my Great grandparents had its is actually 13 kids not 11. The 1st two children were twins but did not live the 1st year. They had 11 more after which included 2 sets of twins. My great grandparents were from Hamburg Germany & most of the their kids were born & raised in and around DC. I love to research my family history but I was told not to go back to far due to the the dark past in Germany. From what I am told it was not easy either once in the states. Some how they all pulled through and have done very well for themselves. Leo, may you rest in peace with your mom, dad & siblings.
