Even though this article is about the UK (and specifically black)-what do you think? Do you think its a good idea to have quotas set for people of color in theatre/film/tv etc? I remember the comedian Chris Rock discussing positive discrimination. He said that he would not want a job over a white person that was more qualified. But if they were both as equally qualified as each other he wouldn’t mind at all as white people had had a 400 year head start. And that is a fair point. People that claim that everything should be done on equal merit forget the fact that there was never equality to begin with.
