Event: Cruel Summer: A Public Forum on Trayvon Martin in Cultural Context When: Wednesday, October 9 from 7-8 PM Where: Innisfree Poetry Café (on The Hill across from The Sink - 1203 13th St., Boulder) This event is sponsored by Innisfree Poetry Café and the new Laboratory for Race & Popular Culture (the RAP Lab) at the University of Colorado Boulder. Panelists will include poet and activist Dominique Christina, the 2012 winner of the Women of the World Poetry Slam; Jack Hamilton, RAP Lab postdoctoral fellow and columnist for Slate; and Alex Corey, RAP Lab graduate fellow and CU English doctoral candidate. Adam Bradley, RAP Lab director and CU English professor, will moderate this roundtable panel and public forum. Audience participation is encouraged.
