Events in Waterford Thursday October 17th A race night will be taking this Thursday October 17th at 8:30pm in Dillon’s bar Dungarvan in aid of the Munster Boxing Team taking part in The World Golden Gloves Tournament in Washington. A full 10 man team is competing in this International against America, Russia, Mexico and Ireland. The fundraiser is to purchase track suits for the team. A Fashion Show in aid of Vision – Children’s University Hospital, Temple Street will take place in Oskar’s Nar, Dunmore Road on October 17th. Reception at 7:30pm with show commencing at 8:00pm. Tickets €15. Best dressed lady competition, plus pampering prizes and goodies to give away on the night. Special guests Brendan Courtney & Sonia Lennon. Tickets available from Orchid Boutique, Dunmore Road. Waterford Regional Gardening Club next meeting takes place on Thursday October 17th at 8.00pm in Edmund Rice Centre, Barrack Street, Waterford. Talk by Mary Keenan, Gash Gardens, on “Shrubs That Deserve To Be Better Known. Followed by refreshments. Visitors welcome. Admission is €5 each, members – free.
