Ever desperately tried to communicate and debunk (often damaging) misconceptions about an area of expertise your life’s work and research has overlapped with? This man has. The practice of how GMO works is often far misunderstood and in principle it is hardly any different to selective breeding which is how our wheat and corn have been grown for many thousands of years. GMO is a practical solution to tackling world hunger, and we must embrace scientific values and educate ourselves about what we are criticising to best help ourselves and the environment, rather than buy into paranoid and misinformed conspiracy theories, in most cases lacking any actual evidence.
