Ever heard of a High School Color Guard. Our school did not have one. It is like the front line for a marching band. They wave flags, twirl fake rifles for some reason, and dance around. Well according to an email I just got from David Byrne. He wondered what it would be like if the top color guard teams paired up with their own contemporary musicians playing LIVE with their routine, doing an original song written just for them. He got funding for the project, and got ten bands involved. There will be just two performances, but I think at least one person I know, Pat Goodrich Hart, and her beau Jay, might actually be able to get to one of them.
