Ever notice that despite the fall in economy, the busiest businesses remain food-based, drink-based, or just drawing us into numerous social outings. We are ever chasing ways to fulfill our cravings, rushing for weekend plans as a means of relief and satisfaction, and when it wears off or ends (like it always does), we are off to planning our next outings. It seems to be an endless chase, a vicious cycle of seeking temporary pleasures which leads to ongoing emptiness. Are we escaping something deep within that starts to show face at the end of the day when all the pleasure wears off? There is a deep, human reality to this apparent problem. We must be brave to face it.
