Ever since I have moved to Poland I have found that the Polish are a very demanding people. From themselves, from others, they have high expectations with little regard for personal growth, safety, or even need. Hard work is an attribute which is hammered into the Polish mentality from childhood by teachers, parents, and the ever present priests and nuns that roam the streets by the dozens in search of souls to be saved and lessons to be taught. The need for decision making and basic logic and reason is unnecassary as there is also the ever present all holy codex of bueraucracy which will make decisions for you. And all my childhood I was taught Randian philosophies by the great satan in the west of capitalistic idealogies when really all that was really and truly missing from my life is a woman with a stamp in a tiny office which I could only find by standing in 3 consecutive and incorrect lines in 2 different departments in charge of Lord only knows for hours upon hours. Heaven forbid I forget to ask who is last in line for this question is the password to getting the cogs of this dues ex machina from being sent to an unholy hell filled with pink haired old ladies in tight mini dresses generations from their recommened age group spewing fire that would leave ash and soot for the group of hunchbacked cleaning ladies ( who ,incidentally, in some paranoid part of my mind I think these are the women that are in control here. Well, them and your grandmother) to come and scoop up to let the hallway fill with the next group of people in search of that bit of ink that gives their lives meaning. That allows them one tiny piece of the giant unknowable puzzle that is freedom. Wait, what was the question? Oh, yeah, no my day is fine, how are you?
