Ever try to renegotiate your cell phone bill? I did and nearly two - TopicsExpress

Ever try to renegotiate your cell phone bill? I did and nearly two months later Im still having problems with my billing. For two years, Ive been paying Verizon $164 for two smart phones with 2 shared gigabytes of data, unlimited texting and a set number of minutes that I never come close to using. Since I have a work phone as well, I decided to cancel my personal cell phone. The day after cancelling, I got a phone call from Verizon asking me to reconsider and a promise that Verizon would be willing to lower my bill to about $112 a month (including taxes and fees). I agreed. The next bill was for more than $220! Verizon said a mistake had been made and it would be resolved. I was issued a credit for the overage. The next bill arrived. It was for $142. I called Verizon again. Another apology and a promise to have it corrected next billing period. Why is this so hard? Ive always liked Verizon, but Im befuddled as to whats going on in their billing department. To make matters worse, after every call I make to complain, I get a call from Verizon asking me to respond to an automated survey about their customer service. One of the questions is: Were we able to resolve your problem? I cant answer that question Verizon until my next bill arrives.
