Ever wonder where this adorable pair of cherubs reside? I found them at the base of Raphaels Sistine Madonna, the epitome of grace and beauty herself, in the Old Masters Picture Gallery of the Zwinger Museum in Dresden when I was there a couple of weeks ago. Although the altarpiece was painted in 1512, thats 502 years ago!, the pondering pair of angels began their solo career in 1800 when they began to appear on china, embroideries, and Valentines, and more recently, pajamas. We cant help but adore them.
