Every Honor Flight mission is special, and on each trip something - TopicsExpress

Every Honor Flight mission is special, and on each trip something incredible almost always happens. Today, a WWII veteran named Mr. James Caniford, mentioned to us that his son, Senior Master Sergeant James K. Caniford was buried at Arlington National Cemetery. His son served in the Air Force and was shot down and in over Laos during the Vietnam war. He remained listed as missing in action for 36 years. In 2008 his remains were identified and he was returned home and buried with full honors at Arlington. Mr. Caniford only saw his sons unfinished (no headstone) gravesite that one time in 2008. After hearing this we made quick arrangements to escort him to his sons now finished grave in Section 60 at Arlington. Mr. Caniford, choking back the tears told us he thought he would never have the chance to see his son resting place again before he died. This is Honor Flight.
