Every June, since Noah was 6 years old he has been attending a camp for children with varying disabilities and their siblings put on by McMains Childrens Developmental Center. Every year we attend. Every year I watch as many children that we know from attending PT, OT, & ST together grow. Its so much fun because in some ways its a reunion because schedules change, we dont see everyone all of the time. There is no week that I feel more blessed to be in my shoes. I love seeing Noahs friends, his therapists, and the numerous volunteers. I love it. If you ever feel sad, depressed, or just plain lost and need to find your way, I suggest volunteering at a camp such as Capable Arts or even visiting the residents at a nursing home. You dont have to know anyone there. Within 60 seconds you will make a friend that will change your life for the better.
