Every Monday night until I moved out of the house, my mom and I would get our grocery money out of the envelope and go grocery shopping. It was just kinda our thing you know? My mom would have her list and wed get everything we needed, crossing each item off the list as we went. $80. Thats what we had in cash each week, and I still remember that. I kinda let that go in college and when I first moved to Salt Lake...I just bought whatever. It wasnt until I got married, that I started meal planning again, and as ridiculous as it might sounds...I LOVED IT!!! I just get this feeling of accomplishment and pride when Im able to plan meals for my whole family each week and can provide them meals and healthy snacks all week long because I prepared for it!! My mom would just used a scratch piece of paper or a to do list pad of paper, and that worked!! Ive gone through lots of spiral bound notebooks and cutesy little meal planner sheets, but I found THE one, ladies. THIS little diddy is IT!! I hang it on my wall each week, with a pencil attached to it, so I can easily add to my list things weve run out of or ideas I have for meals!!! Check it out, make a plan!!!
