Every day I find out more interesting things. Today I was trying to see if I could just skip my last radiation since its on September 2nd, the day after Labor Day. Thats a big fat NO. Each treatment plan is specifically and statistically based on the individual and youre given a certain dose during each zapping. Wishful thinking shot down by reason. On another note- my skin is doing pretty good so far with treatment, so well see what happens in the next half of the spot tanning sessions. Ive been pretty fatigued and get waves of nausea- pretty similar to the very beginning of my chemo treatments. While I do have the summer off my days are usually filled with doctor appts, at least 1 and sometimes up to 3 a day, all at different locations (of course š ). No water activities for this girl as I still have an open wound on the non radiated side of my chest and limited sun exposure allowed because of radiation. But- heres to the end in sight with big treatments. The last major thing other than checkups that Ill have after radiation is my expander/implant swap, which could be done in December or January. On a comical note, the expanders have a metal disk at the back of them (to prevent the filler-up needle from going all the way through), so I get to take a doctors note to the airport to explain why my tatas will set off the TSA metal detectors. Fun fun.
